The Shanker Hotel is a 100 year old palace, situated in the heart of Kathmandu, Nepal, faces the North side of the Royal Palace, just 5 minutes walk from Thamel, “the pulse of the city”, is truly a “Heritage Hotel with a History!” This palatial hotel, once owned by the grandfather of Her Majesty of Nepal, is characterized by exquisite and authentic objects d’art, which enhances the beauty of the existing exterior. The present queen and her late sisters are assumed to be born in this palatial building.
